Got a full page in on my lunch! Woohoo!

Status Update: 7/31/17

Not much work has been done on this over the weekend, but not for lack of trying. I swear everything comes up the moment you want to really commit to finishing a project like this. Hoping to get a good amount done on my lunch today. If I get lunch today.

Actual Progress Achieved

Actual work on chapter one done. How much done? Not much, but the way things have been for me lately any progress is good progress.

Added Glossary

Added a glossary. Still under construction, but you can use it to get an idea as to what the world of Farah is like. You can read it by clicking here , or by using the link in the menu bar to the left. Enjoy!

False Start?

Wouldn't you know the moment I started this blog I'd start having problems in real life that would keep me from getting any work done on this? For two days I've had things keep popping up that have kept me from working on my book, from computer and kid issues at home to work issues. I barely managed to have time to write the previous post before something came up that halted all other progress. I'm exhausted, I'm irritated, and I'm having a hard time focusing. A real winner of a start, no? Hopefully I can get a few paragraphs tonight in before I crash completely.

The Messenger: A Brief Hint of What is to Come

The Messenger is a book I've been working on for a very long time. I've worked on it longer than my kids have existed. I've worked on it before I even got married. To say it's been a long time coming is somewhat of an understatement. Some people have read parts of it over the years, and I've always seems to get positive feedback from them, but I haven't ever gotten around to... well... finishing it. Since I've started there has been different versions, different beginnings, different endings, added and altered scenes, but the core of the story has been pretty much the same. It is a very personal story for the main character, Mercher, as well as for myself. It's a story of loss, of personal guilt, of faith, and the unknown. There are a lot of adventure aspects to it, but they are not the focus. The story is told almost exclusively from Mercher's perspective, as he is tasked with delivering a message that could save thousands of lives. Along the wa

The time has come where I commit myself to finishing the story I've be working on and off for the last few years. I'll need you guys to help to keep me going. I'll be writing as much as I can on my novel, but occasionally I'll be posting status updates and possibly excerpts here as well. I'm also going to be posting illustrations as well, though these probably won't make it into the book and will just be for fun. Remember, if you came here and you liked anything you saw please don't forget to share with others! I'd really appreciate it. And don't forget to share, like, subscribe, follow and +1 my posts! And while you're at it check out my other two blogs, the Lunch Hour Weirdness and Neato! Boy, that didn't sound desperate at all. Hey, don't write that! No! Stop! Heh. Anyway, uh, welcome!
