Aerowing Dragons
One of the few winged dragons of Farah. The aerowing is very intelligent, and can be some of the oldest living creatures. They are also very solitary creatures, typically their best to steer clear of settlements and people.

PlantArachnacadia
An uncommon sight, this plant is highly sought after for it's flowers and medicinal uses. It is a short flowering plant, which is easily identified by it's dark green, almost black leaves which have eight, spindly points (four on each side), making it look to be covered in giant spiders (hence the name.) In the spring it produces white, pink or red flowers, which nearly cover the entire plant.


Barghest
A race of super intelligent canines. While most can speak, they either lack motivation or choose not to in order to avoid conflict. However, some barghest love the interaction they have with people, and won't shut up.

The Blackout
A disastrous event still fresh in the mind of some of the citizens of Farah, despite happening over two hundred years ago.

Ceran Dragons
Large, bipedal dragons with a distinctive bony frill, three horns, and a beak. Some of the most common dragons in the world, and the most talkative. Because of their large, imposing nature, powerful strength and tough skin, they are typically conscripted into the military (or hire themselves out as mercenaries.)

Dragons
Any number of large, races and creatures with lizard-like features, namely scales, though their are exceptions. Some dragons are more human like, while others are more animalistic. See also: Aerowing, Ceran, Juton, Leviathan, and Squamatians.

Elves
Similar in appearance to humans, the elves' only difference in their appearance being their pointed ears. They typically have a longer lifespan and are as a whole more agile than the average human, but can be short tempered.

Fae or Fairies
Small, winged human-like creatures living on Farah, usually referring to them in general. There are three different species: spindles, monarchs, and the motte. You can usually tell them apart by their wings, with spindles having clear dragonfly-like wings, monarchs having colorful butterfly-like wings, and the motte having moth-like wings. They are not to be confused with sprites.

Farah
The common name of the world

Furies
Legendary people long thought to be extinct, if they even existed at all. Known for having fantastic power over things like fire or electricity, though far beyond what any other races are capable of. It has been a long time since anyone has seen a fury, though stories of them have reached mythical proportions. 

Geruru
Short, hunched over creatures who tend to be highly athletic and agile, usually having green, blue or yellow skin with dark grey or black patterns. They can leap fairly long distances for their size, and are adept at climbing. Geruru can breath through their skin, even underwater, though they usually prefer fresh water or swamps. Some have a poison film atop their skin, which can be harmful to other races. They typically do not wander far from their home in southern Ogsa.

Gifted Ones
Legendary heroes of the Dark Wars, who were supposedly wielders of powerful magic. No one has seen a Gifted One since the Blackout.



Grays
A human-like race with extremely pale skin, usually white or gray in color. They are known for their ability to produce and detect electricity through their hands and arms. Their ability to sense electric currents have given them a distinct advantage to most other races, as they can 'read' the old machines left behind by the ancients. Also called eels or plugs (derogatory terms.)

PlantHavot
A short, bush-like plant with numerous light-green leaves which sprout from branches in a fan pattern. It produces bunches of white/light green berries in the early fall, which can be eaten but have an extremely bitter taste. It is grown by many for it's medicinal properties.

Hilstberries
A vine/briar berry plant similar to raspberries or blackberries. They grow rounded, fat leaves with thorns around the base of the leaf. The berries that grow are golden in color when ripe, but have a shape similar to a small heart or peach.

Humans
Humanity. Known by some as the Elders.

Juton Dragons
Large, intelligent creatures, famous for their ability to survive in extremely frigid temperatures. They cannot speak, but are capable of communicating through other means, such as different grunts or gestures. They have four powerful legs, thick tail, and large head with imposing jaws. They are also known for being one of the only dragons with fur.

Kodama (AKA Spectres)
Shorter, human-like race known for several things: their unstable demeanor, their ability to change their skin color, and their skill as assassins and warriors.

Lanterngrass
A species of fast growing, pale green grass known for its tough, fibrous texture. Because it is difficult to cut, it is not used as pasture grass, but rather harvested for use in making oils. Said oils harvested from the grass is most commonly used as a lubricant in sea fairing vessels, but also as a fuel for lanterns, which is where the plant gets its name.

Leviathans
Monsters of the deep, these large sea-going dragons are feared throughout the ocean. However, they typically steer clear of people.

Loret
The main currency of Amroin. It comes in denominations of halves, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 lorets. Fractions of lorets are known as chips, with 100 chips being a loret.

Manglamor
Large human-like race, which is easily distinguished by it's porcupine-like spines down it's neck and back, as well as scales intermixed with fur down it's sides, arms, legs, stomach and neck.

Melves
A tiny, pale race with long, pointed ears, hand-like feet and a pointed tail. Standing at an average height of just under two feet, they are the third smallest humanoids, followed by sprites and fairies, respectively. They have a wide range of temperaments, ranging from warmhearted to highly aggressive. They are known by many other names as well, such as leprechauns, gnomes, gremlins, or minish, though many of those are region specific.


Middling
Slang for a human. A derogatory term meant as an insult.

Nekomata
Small, cat-like race known for their sharp senses and claws. They also have excellent agility and balance.

Nolls
The giants of Farah, being a head taller than  They're quite strong and sturdy, though they aren't the brightest. They are typically mild mannered, but are prone to having fits of violent behavior.

Orcan
An agile marine race, distinguished by it's black and white skin and webbed hands and feet. They are excellent swimmers, and can hold their breath for an extraordinary amount of time. Above water they are just as formidable, but cannot stray too far from it for too long without the risk of drying out their skin.

Palaceer
One of eight leaders of Amroin. Together the palaceers rule the island nation on behalf of the eight providences.

Pulaguard
A large, furry race, noted for their severe underbite, bat-like ears, oversized hands, thick fur coat, and razor sharp claws. They have extremely acute senses of hearing and smell, and have the endurance to run for miles without stopping.

Renni
A dark, leathery, bark-like root. Popular with poor and lower classes because it's cheap, sweet, keeps well, and can be somewhat healthy. Usually it's eaten raw or dried, but sometimes it is cooked with butter until it caramelizes, softening the inside while crisping the edges.

Sprites
Small, winged race common to the big cities and forests in the temperate regions of Farah. They have bird-like wings, and are known to have somewhat superior demeanor. The can be quite hostile against fairies.

Squamatians
Smallest of the dragons, the squamatians are covered with soft scales and have spikes running from the back of their head down to the base of their spine and are typically green or brown in color. They are quite intelligent, as well as quite agile both on land and in water.

Stingy
Slang for a wanderer.



Wanderer
A person who wanders from place to place, supporting their lifestyle by working the odd job wherever they find themselves. Some wanderers have special skills which make them highly desirable depending on their talents, which can range from medical professionals to warriors. However, many wanderers are usually running from something, including the law more times than not. Their hire is usually questionable in most situations, though desperate times can result in a person's past being overlooked in favor of a helping hand.
