Overview
The oldest child of the Danahan family still living at home with their mother, Noniea, Marian sees herself as being in charge over the rest of her siblings. She can be rather bossy at times, and is skeptical about her younger sibling's actions, even when they're just playing. That doesn't mean that she can't have fun, but she is typically less sociable than the rest of her family.
Most of her alone time is spent sketching in her notebook, or reading one of the few library books she's managed to borrow. It doesn't happen often, mostly because she is quite busy helping her mother. She's smart, but doesn't often get the opportunity to display her intelligence.
She is not very fond of Mercher, though not because of anything he has done to her personally, but because of the news he brought when they first met. She tolerates him whenever he visits, but in her mind she always relates him to her father's death.
Skills and Talents
She's a fairly decent reader, and reads to her brother and sister whenever they get a new book from Vivaldi's small community library.
Marian is also a decent artist, though her experience is mostly limited to her self teaching. She would love to someday visit the museums and galleries in Urrat, or learn from a real artist, but it is a dream she feels is too far from actually coming true.

Marian, or Mary as she is occasionally called, is the spitting image of her mother, with similarly silver hair, though she keeps hers at a much more manageable shoulder-length. She has dark brown eyes, which to some are almost perpetually glaring at things she doesn't like.
